“Bible Belt”

Mansfield is also home to two religious schools: the Brisbane Adventist College, founded in 1966, and the Christian Outreach College, which opened in 1978.

Additionally, several other religious schools are near Mansfield. Amongst these are the Christian Heritage College and the Citipointe Christian College, both in Carindale. With the significant influx of folks choosing to live in the Mansfield area because of these local Christian schools and the local churches, this southeastern part of Brisbane has become commonly known as the “Bible Belt.”

Vital Roadways Near

Much of the allure of Mansfield to home buyers is also provided by the major road corridors that run along its borders. Newham Road on this suburb’s western perimeter links north with Cavendish Road, one of the gateways to the central business district of Brisbane. On Mansfield’s eastern flank is the Gateway Motorway which runs northward all the way to the bayside and enables access to the Brisbane Airport. Public transportation plies these strategic roadways for the convenience of local residents.

At the northern part of the suburb, Mansfield has a mid-sized industrial estate in the Wecker Road Business Center, another growth magnet for this suburb. One operation based here is the Mansfield Business Hub Australia Post mail delivery centre.

Recreational Centers

Notably, just across south this Wecker Road industrial estate is the Mansfield Tavern, iconic of its “Rock Arena” venue for touring bands. Likewise on this road’s southern side is a popular local park—the Yandina Picnic Ground—whose features also include a climbing wall and sports fields.

Mansfield has several other linear parks like Yandina alongside the Brisbane River tributary, Bulimba Creek. One is Broadwater Park, the suburb’s largest public park, located on Mansfield Place near the junction of Broadwater Road and Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road. This park features a spacious open area with a children’s playground and barbecue pits. Just adjacent to this park is the multi-use Eagles Sports Complex.

Tillack Park on Blackberry Street offers various activities too as it is host to the Stan Fraser Oval, a bikeway, fitness trail, amongst other facilities. Golf, meanwhile, is accessible just at the northern edge of Mansfield on the Pacific Golf Club off Pine Mountain Road. This club features a par 72 championship course and provides various types of membership at reasonable rates.
